The scripts must incorporate song, dance, buffoonery, slapstick an in-jokes. the most popular pantomine of all is 'Cinderella', based on the tale of a young girl who was forced into a life of servitude by her unkind Step Sisters. She cleaned, cooked and tended the fire, hence her nickname 'Cinders', but she isn't the only one who's had a lot of chores to do because our preparations began almost as soon as the curtain went down on 'Mother Goose' last christmas.
