welcome

Eleven years on and Company of Friends just never fail to send its audiences home singing and feeling they’ve had a superb evening’s entertainment – but it’s not just the audience who have a great time because, ask any of our cast and crew, and they’ll tell you that the show is a blast for them too!

We’re not a closed shop– you become part of this unique group by being involved in any of our fabulous productions. Rehearsals are just 6 weeks so look out for details of our open auditions.  If you get into the cast there’s a show subscription of £30, a bargain price for all the fun, not to mention the experience of working with experienced directors, choreographers, musical directors, musicians and stage managers.

We’re always looking for backstage crew as well so if you’re over 16 and thinking about making technical theatre or stage management a career, this is an excellent stepping stone so take a look at our ‘Get Involved’ page.

So what’s been happening this year so far?
The curtain went down on Aladdin on the thirtieth of December after eighteen sell out shows, we went straight into prep for ‘The Pirates of Penzance’ at The Hawth, Crawley. We missed a whole weekend of rehearsals due to the snow, but with our usual verve and enthusiasm and a wonderful production team,  it all came together – and if you don’t believe us here are just two of the dozens of messages we’ve received -

“My wife and I have just returned from the matinee performance of Pirates of Penzance and would like to say how much we enjoyed the show. A first rate production enthusiastically performed. A special mention is due for the orchestra.
Well done and Thank you to everybody involved.”

“We had a wonderful time with our friends at the Hawth this afternoon.  Your show was absolutely spectacular and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves - it was one of the best ever. The orchestra was terrific too.Well done and we can't wait for the next one!”
